✂️ Грумінг морських свинок — навіщо він потрібен?
Багато власників вважають, що морські свинки не потребують спеціального догляду, але це не зовсім так. Особливо це стосується довгошерстих порід — перуанських, шелті, тедді, коронетів. Їхня шерсть може сплутуватись, накопичувати пил і залишки їжі. Без належного догляду з’являються ковтуни, подразнення шкіри й навіть паразити.
🪮 Основні етапи догляду
1. Розчісування
Довгошерстих свинок потрібно розчісувати 2–3 рази на тиждень, а під час линяння — щодня. Для цього використовують м’які щітки або гребінці з частими зубцями. Короткошерсті породи достатньо розчісувати раз на тиждень.
2. Купання
Морські свинки зазвичай чисті тваринки й не потребують частого купання. Водні процедури проводять лише за необхідності — якщо шерсть забруднилася або перед виставкою. Важливо використовувати лише спеціальні шампуні для дрібних тварин і добре висушити звірятко після миття.
3. Стрижка шерсті
Довгошерстим морським свинкам рекомендують робити легку стрижку, особливо влітку. Це полегшує догляд, допомагає уникнути ковтунів і перегріву. У нашому салоні Kit&Pes грумери обережно підстригають шерсть, не створюючи стресу для тваринки.
4. Догляд за кігтиками
Кігті у морських свинок ростуть швидко, тому їх потрібно підстригати кожні 3–4 тижні. Якщо цього не робити, вони можуть загинатися і заважати свинці ходити.
5. Огляд очей, вушок і шкіри
Під час грумінгу спеціаліст перевіряє стан очей і вушок, щоб помітити перші ознаки подразнення або інфекції.
